Internet and World Wide Web are not the same!

Many people use the terms Internet and World Wide Web (or Web) interchangeably, but the fact is that the two are separate but related.

Internet -  is a global system of interconnected computer networks that use the standard Internet Protocol Suite (TCP/IP) to facilitate data transmission and exchange. In short, it’s a network of networks.

Web (World Wide Web) -  is a system of interlinked hypertext documents accessed via the Internet. With a web browser, one can view web pages that may contain text, images, videos, and other multimedia and navigate between them via hyperlinks.

Concluding: The Web is just a portion of the Internet, although a large portion, but the two terms are not synonymous and should not be confused.
