Yes, you can now dislike on facebook by adding a dislike button.
Why always “like” things on Facebook, why not “dislike” too ? If this is your question! Then this short article is for you. Do you guys remember the famous quote of Hitler? He said “Hate is more lasting than dislike” . But still I would write this article for you guys.
If you use a Firefox browser, then half the work is done. Developers have created a Firefox plugin which lets users dislike.
While the dislike actions are only visible to those users who also have the plugin installed, my guess is that a lot of users would like to click on a “dislike” button than the like button. Even if nobody else sees that you disliked, it will be more gratifying to just click on it. So far the plugin has been downloaded over a million times, but it wouldn’t be surprising to see this number jump over days to come.
1>>Facebook Dislike – After installing the addon, you can dislike posts and each time you do, the author of the extension keeps track of it for everybody. So this way, if somebody else installs the add-on, they too can see all the stories that have been disliked.
2>>Facebook di.slik.es – Once installed in your browser, di.slik.es displays an extra ‘thumbs down-style’ Dislike button next to any content within Facebook. The Dislike button works much like a regular ‘Like’ button, the major difference being that your dislikes will not be visible to the ones without the extension installed.
di.slik.es will also post one (and only one) comment per disliked content (regardless of how many people dislike it) in behalf of the first user who dislikes it – so there is no need to worry it will spam your, or your friends’ wall.
Google chrome does have an Extension too. It has been installed by thousands now and hopefully will make it as big as firefox add-ons in the days to come.
In an interview, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg said company officials would “definitely think about” adding a “Dislike” button. But like it or “dislike” it, it hasn’t happened yet.
Atlast, just do me a favor and don’t dislike me!
